Kõrvemaa Nature Protection Area, south walk


South Korvemaa was popular some 10-20 years ago. Then Soviet troops left North Korvemaa and people started to discover that. And South tracke were forgotten, bushes grew to paths and track marks disapeared.
But this tracks and areas are popular now, again. many people visit kakerdi bog and lakes, but this GPS track follows more wild paths and areas.
It´s possible to start from Tallinn by Train. Use electric trains to Aegviidu. Some Tartu trains stop in Aegviidu, too, but not fast trains. Left train one stop before last - Mustjõe. It´s very small station, but don´t be afraid - turn Your GPS on and let follow the thin line on screen.
You can walks some km straight to south, then You find Mustjõe river. Turn left, walk, avoid cottage area and You can see abanduned watermill and bridge.
Walk up from Jagala river, and You are on spring flooding area. Turn to Janijogi - one of the favourite rivers of Estonian most famous nature man Fred Jussi, born by the way on Aruba.
Cross the river where You can and as You can and turn to forest roads leading You back to civilisation - Aegviidu railway station. last train leave Aegviidu about 20:30, but check Schedule.
